Whiskey Smoked Ghost Black Bean Burger Ingredients: 3 cups black beans (two 15 oz cans), rinsed and drained1 large shallot, grated on a box grater (about 1/3 cup)2 medium cloves garlic, minced1 medium egg2 tablespoons tomato paste1 tablespoon sherry vinegar1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt1 teaspoon Whiskey Smoked Ghost Sauce1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper1 cup panko breadcrumbs2 tablespoons olive oil Instructions: 1. In a large bowl, combine beans, shallot, and garlic. Use a potato masher or fork to mash up beans, leaving some whole beans. 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together egg, tomato paste, sherry vinegar, salt, Whiskey Smoked Ghost Sauce, and black pepper. 3. Using a spatula, fold in the egg mixture until combined. Sprinkle panko across the fixture, and fold together until combined. 4. Form the mixture into 6 patties, pressing and turning, until about 1 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide. 5. In a medium skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Cook about 3-5 minutes per side, until crisp on both ides. 6. Serve on bun with desired toppings.
