We love a good cocktail, and we love an excuse to bring our favorite spirits into the hot sauce kitchen with us, too! While we pass on knowledge through celebrating and teaching the art of canning and preserving, Uncle Nearest Whiskey does it through distilling, and we were inspired to develop this smoky, booze-kissed sauce to honor that common ground. To make this tangy, sweet, fiery hot sauce, onions get a long, slow roast in a mixture of Uncle Nearest 1856 Whiskey and apple cider vinegar. Dates and dried ghost peppers also get a nice long whiskey soak, too, and we then combine those liquored up ingredients for a silky-smooth, slightly smoky, fiery hot sauce with an unmistakable whisky bite that always keeps us coming back for more. Try it on grilled meats or roasted root vegetables.
