Tonkatsu Sauce

This is one of our yearly chef collaborations. We partnered with Ryan Roadhouse of Nodoguro in Portland Oregon, to make a special tonkatsu sauce. This sauce is made with natural and local ingredients. For those who have never had tonkatsu sauce, we describe it as a fruit forward, less sweet barbeque sauce. We make this one with local carrots, apples, and onions, we sweeten it with a little brown sugar and tamarind, This is the first time it has been listed online.

The Roadhouse Family are like my own, I have spent time working in the restaurant and also as a customer, it is a very special place. The restaurant is currently closed, and all proceeds from this sauce will go to help Nodoguro re-open.
